Celebrate Asian culture at AsiaFest! An international bazaar, performances, arts and crafts, fusion cuisine, and live demonstrations await at Asia Society Texas Center’s annual free festival. Mark your calendar now for this incredible event, held this year on Saturday, June 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This year, the festival invites guests to embark on an adventure through Asia, using a passport to explore different regions’ traditions, cultures, and food! Many delicacies await when you treat your taste buds to a bevy of unique and delicious samples.

Additionally, guests will enjoy free entry to two exhibitions during AsiaFest: “Site Lines: Artists Working in Texas” and “Super Sarap.” In “Site Lines: Artists Working in Texas,” the works of Texas-based artists Ambreen Butt, Abhidnya Ghuge, Beili Liu, Jun Nguyen-Hatsushiba, and Prince Varughese Thomas address themes such as the value of work, cultural memory, and the importance of place. In “Super Sarap,” artists Mik Gaspay, Jeanne F. Jalandoni, Charlene Tan, and O.M. France Viana revisit commonplace objects and food within Filipino cooking to elicit personal and collective memories and to challenge cultural norms associated with food.

AsiaFest is held by Asia Society Texas Center. With 13 locations throughout the world, Asia Society is the leading educational organization promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among the peoples, leaders, and institutions of Asia and the West.
