Your family members or special someone will be aflutter at the sight of these paper hearts, folded origami-style – in two ways. One is charming in its simplicity, while the other is embellished with a decorative bow. Better yet, all you need is some origami paper to get started! Check out the instructions below!

Instructions:

1. For simple origami heart: Starting with a square sheet of origami paper, fold in half on the diagonal, bringing top corner to bottom one, and then unfold. Fold in half again, bringing left corner to right one, and then unfold.
2. Fold the top corner to the center crease.
3. Fold the bottom corner to the top edge.
4. Fold right side up diagonally to align with a center crease, and then repeat on the left side.
5. Flip over the folded paper, and then fold side and top points in half.
6. Flip folded heart over to the front side.

1. For origami heart with a bow: Starting with a square sheet of origami paper, fold in half lengthwise, bringing top corner to opposite top one, and then unfold. Fold in half again, bringing bottom corner to bottom one, and then unfold.
2. Flip over the folded paper; fold in half on the diagonal, bringing bottom corner to top one, and then unfold. Fold in half again, bringing left corner to right one, and then unfold.
3. Flip over the folded paper and fold it, using the creases into a triangle.
4. Fold top point to align with a center crease, resulting in a trapezoid shape.
5. Open the vertical flaps on either side and fold them down to flatten.
6. Fold each of four outer corners to align with the center crease, resulting in two middle points.
7. Flip over the folded paper, fold the top edge in thirds, and reopen. Fold each half of the top edge on the diagonal, bringing two corners to align with the center crease.
8. Fold the upper corners into points and fold them again into the rounded tops of a heart.
9. Flip over the folded paper and fold bottom corners to align with the center crease.
10. To create the bow, fold bottom points upward into "ends" and open middle points into "loops."
