The National Safety Council's Journal of Safety Research has released a new report showing that there is little difference between the driving safety risk of using hands-free cell phones and using hand-held phones. This confirms that any form of cell phone use is a distraction that impairs the brain's ability to focus on driving. So what is safe? It is best not to make any call, even using a hands-free device, while driving. If you must make or receive a call, pull over to a safe area and stop your vehicle first.
